MSI Netbook Product Review

My MSI netbook was once of the best purchases I have ever made. I travel a great deal and this is easily stored in my handbag so that I don't need to take an additional bag just to carry a computer. It's also great for school, because the last thing I want is to have to carry around a
?heavy laptop in addition to all of those books. The portability of this machine was the first deciding factor in my purchase. The computer is quick and it has a lot of hard drive space which was another big deciding factor when I was shopping for it. Many of the other options had flash storage which would make it difficult to store and upload photos unless I was to carry a thumb drive. I wasn't interested in purchasing and carrying around additional accessories. The built-in webcam is great for keeping in touch with the family when I'm on the road. I'm impressed with how quick and efficient the computer is. I do tend to run Linux on the machine, because it does make everything run faster, but for those times when Linux is frustrating, I can always boot into windows to save myself the frustration. Despite the fact that the MSI netbook is running XP, I have not had any problems with installing and using programs. I purchased and installed office professional and it runs just as well as it does on my desktop. I cannot, however, recommend this type of computer for someone running a photo-editing program or anything that requires a lot of memory. I do not consider this a "negative" when reviewing the product. You must have realistic expectations; attempting to run a program such as Photoshop on a machine such as this and then complaining about it is just foolish on the part of the user. The MSI netbook is a practical computer for basic office applications. The design is sleek, which, being a female that was a deciding factor in my purchase. I found that many of the other choices looked more like toys than a "computer."MSI Netbook Product Review
